Hike

I took my Uncle Richard and my Dad on one of my favorite hikes. Its not too long and at the end, you get a great view.

On the drive back home I stuck my camera out the window to catch some beautiful shots of the sunset.

Big Cottonwood Canyon

The next day we went up Big Cottonwood Canyon. There was still quite a bit of snow up there.

I told my dad to pretend like he was hanging from the lift...Priceless!

The snow is very dirty and apparently not too sturdy to walk in

Again if your wondering why no Charles...Ya he is still not that cool.
We were lucky enough to see a couple critters on our day trip up the canyon. I was chasing these guys all over the place trying to get a good shot. I think I did it.

We also saw this huge beaver damn. We didnt get to see a beaver though.

And then we spotted a moose!! It was really cool. Unfortunately my camera didnt understand that I wanted a clear picture of the moose, not the trees. But you can still see him pretty good.

Next we took some more pictures (at my request). That water is moving really fast!

The sun is trying to come out

American Fork Canyon

So for Memorial Day weekend my family along with My Uncle Richard visiting from Florida, was supposed to go camping. Camping is pretty much my favorite thing ever! So you can imagine my disappointment when my dad told me we were NOT going camping. Needless to say I threw a little fit like a three year old and put myself to bed. The next morning I had turned back into a 25 year old adult and got in the car for an exciting day of four-wheeling up American Fork Canyon. It was a little gloomy out but we decided it was worth it to get out there and see the sites.
After taking a ride to the lake we had just sat down and started to relax when we felt it...Rain! So we had to ride all the way back down the mountain to get to the trailer. And i did not have a jacket! What was i thinking??

After safely making it back to the van we loaded up the bikes and started looking for a place to stop and have our picnic lunch. By this time it had stopped raining and I took full advantage of that by taking more pictures :)

My Parents were not very willing to cooperate as you can see...
But eventually after many tries they did what they had to so I would leave them alone.

And here I am with my favorite dog, Lucky. Isn't he cute :) I think he likes to pose for pictures as much as I do!
If you don't know this already...my dad has a little obsession with medal detecting. And in the short time my Uncle Richard was here, my dad hooked him too.

Apparently bears are a big problem in this canyon. There were signs everywhere! Even on our picnic table.
In case your wondering why Charles is not in any of the pictures, its because he isn't as cool as we are and he decided he didn't need to be a part of the family this day. Don't worry, I threw my three year old fit on him too.
So Lucky is not a normal dog. Most dogs love to retrieve a good stick. Not Lucky, he has some real issues with the stick. He feels the need to tear it apart as soon as it gets near him. There is no retrieving.

Did I mention the stick is double his length...It was hilarious watching him try to break this one in half. It is still in one piece somewhere in the campground. You cant win'em all.

Las Vegas!

We are going to have to go back in time a little since I wasnt cool enough to get a blog sooner. So lets travel back to May 2009. This was a busy month...
First we went to Vegas with our bowling league on Mothers Day Weekend. We left sunday (Mothers day) and came back on Wednesday morning. Can i just say that our bowling is pretty much the best league out there.

As you can see my parents (Dorothy and Gary) were bowling away.

Next we met up with some of the people from the league at the pool. Now that was a good time. I was resistant to get in at first because i was being the girl that didnt want to get her hair wet. I got over that pretty quick and had a great time.

And here is the family all together forced to pose for a picture. I am a little obsessed with pictures as you will soon find out if you dont already know.

Now if any of you know charles you should expect a picture like this to be in the blog more than once...

After our swimming experience we got cleaned up, ate, then headed out for the Las Vegas Strip. The group we were with was Charles, Myself, our cousin DJ and Brandon and Kara from the bowling league.

Charles and DJ think they are hot stuff

After leaving DJ and the strip behind us we finally made it to bed around 4 or 5 in the morning. Charles and i wake up to find that DJ has still not come back and had NO cell phone! Oops! Lucky for us, before we had to explain to our parents how we lost our cousin in Las Vegas he came stolling in at 830am like a king. If you know the story already...I think you know why.

We also did a few other things that mostly i found entertaining so ill spare you the details this time.

Cant wait till next year!!
