Christmas Eve!

As we have for as long as I can remember, we have always gone toPhyllis' for Christmas Eve and this year was no exception. There have gotten to be more and more kids as the years have passed making Charles and I no longer one of the "kids". We are now officially one of the grown-ups, which I am totally ok with!
The evening started off with some dinner. Turkey, Ham, Rolls, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Sweet Potatoes... Yumm!
There were a lot of kids and noise going on and my Dad was hiding his feelings on that pretty well...

Next we played the "Left Right" game. My Mom is NOT a fan of the game and saw all of the gift bags sitting on a table. We got Phyllis to head upstairs for a bit and we all hid the bags. When she came down and saw them missing, she immediately blamed my Mom for hiding them! She was looking all over the place for them and couldn't find them. Shayden blew our cover and showed his "Gram" where they were.

After playing the "Left Right" game, it was time for everyone to sing Christmas carols so Santa would hear them and come visit. Not many of the kids were cooperating so my Dad helped them out and sang good and loud for Santa to hear. Apparently he was the only one excited for Santa to come!

Finally, Santa arrived! Each of the kids had the chance to sit on Santa's lap.

Richie was NOT a fan. Still, so cute!

Some of the kids (Dominik) were not too fond of sitting on Santa's lap. Trying to be "cool" I guess.

Phyllis showed that you are never too old to sit on Santa's lap!

Shayden received a toy in a box that required a knife to get into. My Dad said he would open it if he took all the boxes out to the garbage. He just sat there at first thinking he was joking but my Dad soon showed him he was not joking. He was very serious! So Shayden gave in and took all the boxes he could grab out to the trash!

Then they all started playing with their swords. Maybe I should have gotten Charles one for Christmas!

Thanks Phyllis and Rick for a nice Christmas Eve!
