Teeko had just finished his obedience training and Jen found out about thus agility class. I have always wanted to put Lucky in something like that so Jen and I both signed up hoping the dogs can learn some awesome new tricks.
The class consists of 6 one hour classes each Saturday. They will learn to go through a tunnel, up and down a ramp, through hoops. They will also have some "homework" to learn.
Class one: Learned to play dead. Lucky already knew that one! He is so smart and already ahead of the class. He is the oldest one there too. Teeko only tried to eat one of the dogs lol
Class two: Learned to spin. This is a new trick that Lucky has never learned. We have a week to get it down! By Tuesday, Lucky was doing it with no help! I have such a smart puppy! Its true, old dogs CAN learn new tricks!
Class three: Learned to bow. Originally the class was going to learn to roll over. Lucky already knew that trick so our teacher changed it to something that he didn't know yet. This one will be rough. We also went on the teeter totter. A lot of the dogs were afraid of it when it moved. Not Lucky. He is a champ! The also went on a Teeter Totter. A lot of the dogs were afraid of it. Not Lucky. He is a champ!
Class four: Did not learn any new tricks for homework because everyone was still working on the other tricks. Even Lucky hasn't learned to bow yet but that's cuz his slacker of a mother hasn't been practicing, but we they did go through a Shoot. Its basically like a tunnel but the last part of it is collapsed so they have to walk through it even though there is no light shining through. Lucky did great of course! And he is a pro at the Teeter!
Class five: Most of the class learned to roll over. Lucky already has that one down. Our teacher taught the ones who wanted to learn "Sneaky Sneaky" or an army crawl. I still have to get down his bow before I can really work on that one.
I took a video of Lucky learning to bow. He likes to do every trick he knows except the new one! He is so cute!! :)
Class six: We made it! The last class. We ran through our tricks and did a "talent show" for everyone. Lucky did pretty good considering I haven't been working with him as much as i should have been. Teeko didn't eat any dogs this time but was still being a jerk. He had to wear a muzzle. Poor guy, if only he would be good!
All in all this was a great class and I am so happy I took advantage of it. I will keep working on the tricks and post a new video of Lucky once he is better at all of his tricks.
