Pics with the Starr Kids

Back a long long time ago, these four kiddo's were young. Very young. They had their picture taken when they visited Utah all that time ago and finally they were all in Utah once again.

My mom was very very adamant that we get a group picture again. Not all of us were so into it but we promised we would take the picture.

And here we are...

Now this wasn't exactly what my mom had in mind. She wanted us posed just like we were in the picture from oh so long ago. Well, when you pose like that as children, its cute. But when you are posed the same as an adult, its just silly...

So we took another picture of how we think us adults should look

I like it the best don't you?

Strut Your Mutt

I finally made it to Strut Your Mutt! I have had Lucky for almost 10 years and I never made it because I forgot or I was out of town. But this year, I did it! And it was pretty cool. Would have been better at Sugarhouse Park but hopefully next year it will be there.

I talked Jen and Brayden into coming with me so I didnt have to go alone. There were some cute shows going on.

While we were watching an event Brayden was flirting like crazy with a cute little girl. It was adorable!
And of course we had to go play on the amazing playground

Vegas - Stoic and Creepy

Vegas, here we are again. What joys will you hold this year...

We were told about a brilliant idea! Get your alcohol from Costco in Vegas! Why didnt we think of this sooner?!?! Genius I tell you! So we filled up our cart and got a few comments walking through the store.

Then we went back to our amazing 2 bedroom suite! It was awesome! Everyone stayed in the same room this time. It was a lot of fun and very interesting at times.

Here are Kelsi, Craig, Jen and I getting the camera warmed up

We started playing Kings Cup in the middle of the afternoon and as you can see above, we were having a great time!

Then D.J. gathered up all of the alcohol and placed in on our bar and we had to get multiple pictures of it cuz it was awesome!
On the way to Vegas, Kelsi, Craig and I were listening to Dane Cook. And he found our theme for Vegas this year.
Stoic and Creepy
If you havent heard this skit, listen to it! Its awesome!

Dane Cook:  “Everybody is making the same face..okay everybody.. .look stoic and creepy,"

Here are some pictures of us trying to perfect the look.

I think we did pretty good :)

Then some more alcohol pictures...

We of course had to walk the strip which was decent. I was pretty tired though since we had just gotten done with Kings Cup. Bad idea BTW.
We went to dinner thinking we would feel better and some of us did. I wasnt so lucky. I ended up going back to the room for a nap and I just slept the rest of the night. What a lame night for me! Oh well, I needed it.

My cousin Kaylynn (D.J.'s Sister) came to Vegas this year. It was great to have her along!
One of the other days, Jen, Craig, Kelsi, Kaylynn and I went to see the Dolphins.
I saw them previously but I missed out on a major part of the building! The underground viewing area! What was I thinking! Good thing we went again so I could see it.

We were lucky enough to be there during training and the dolphins did some awesome jumps. It was so much fun to watch.

Next we went to see the White Tiger and White Lions. Kind of a sad existance but we went and saw them non the less.

While we were out we had to take a picture of these cool glass flowers. I wanted to take one home!

Kelsi has always wanted to try an oxygen bar. Lucky for her, we found one in the mall! So she twisted mine and Jen's arms and we did it with her while Craig and Kaylynn got a water massage.
It was interesting. Next time I think I will get the water massage though.

Next we stopped at some shops and had some fun playing with toys

And being that it was mothers day, Jen bought Kelsi a cookie that said mom. Cute!

The boys playing in the store. Love the pink! lol

Now it was time for the pool after bowling on Monday. We had to be in the hot tub again because it will still so cold! What is with the weather?

All in all, it was a totally different trip from last year but still a good time.

I wonder what next years theme will be....

Happy Birthday Brayden!

For Brayden's birthday, Kelsi and Craig decided to take Brayden to the zoo. I of course tagged along to take pictures and also enjoy the animals.

As I was taking pictures, so was Brayden with his camera.
I wonder what awesome person gave him that? ;)

You know that every time you go to the zoo you have to see how you measure up. And we are no exception.

Its nice to know that some things don't change I remember this drinking fountain when I was little.
Ahh memories...

There were dinosaurs all over the Zoo. They were pretty cool. They moved and everything. Even the eyes. Creepy!

Gotta hit the train ride!

And the carousel. Brayden wasn't so sure at first but he got over that real quick!

And my favorite part....

The Bird Show!

All in all, I think Brayden had a great birthday. I cant believe he is THREE years old already!

Mountain Adventure

After we got back from Vegas, D.J. and Kaylynn needed to go see how much snow we still had here in Utah. They don't get to see much of it in sunny Florida. Kaylynn didn't exactly pack for winter. Boy was she surprised at how cold it was!
On our way farther up the mountain, I started talking about when my Uncle Richard (D.J. and Kaylynn's dad) was last here and we saw a moose. Less than a minute thirty later...We see a moose in the middle of the road! Crazy! If we weren't paying attention around those curves, that moose would have been road pizza...well actually, we might have been road pizza! He wasn't as big as he could have been. Probably still a baby. Really cool to see. Then he took his sweet time crossing the rest of the road and met up with mom! Cute! We also saw a wolf/coyote a little later.
We had a great time up in the snow in May! Welcome to Utah!
