First off, let me just explain who was there. My family of course (even Charles) and we stayed with a friend my mom and I work with. Her name is Kellee, her husband Allen and their son. Our boss, Kristin also came with her husband, Lonnie. Kristin and Lonnie stayed in Kellee and Allen's trailer and Charles and I stayed with our parents in their trailer.
Here is a picture of the whole family
And Charles
And me and my mom.
I saw a cute little critter so I just had to share
Here is Charles showing us all how he can ride on two wheels. I didn't get the picture at the exact time but you get the point.
This was one of my favorite views. You came up over a hill and saw this huge meadow with hundreds of yellow flowers. The camera did not capture the beauty as well as I would have liked but just picture it a lot more yellow and you will see what iIsaw.
Here is a picture of what we saw at the top of one of the hills we climbed on our ride.
Here is Kristin and Lonnie.
Kellee tried to go over a puddle and splash mud on my dad as she drove by...Big mistake! She must not know my dad very well. He doesn't just get you back...he gets you back plus some. So for most of the day my dad was looking for the perfect opportunity to get her back. Too bad for him Lonnie was in perfect position to do it for him.
Kellee was about to go through a huge mud puddle and looked back at Lonnie and shook her head at him saying "Don't even think about it!" So naturally Lonnie took that as an invitation and went through that mud puddle as fast as he could and soaked himself but best of all...Kellee.
Here is poor Kellee realizing she is soaked!
Here is Lonnie running over to "apologize" for getting her wet
She wasn't having any of that. It was time to get even by pushing him around a bit to keep him in his place
This is what my dad does when I say - Pose for a picture
Just taking in the beauty...
By the end of the ride we were all covered with mud and dirt. Here are some pictures of how dirty we got. It was awesome!
That was an awesome ride. Definitely my favorite ride of all time. We were all really tired and ended up just hanging out and everyone was in bed by ten.
The next day some of the guys went to play golf. My dad of course did not join them. How could he when he brought his medal detector! There are places to go and treasures to be found. Charles and I met up with Mindy and her family across the lake to play on the jet ski's and the boat.
Here are some pictures from the "other side of the lake"
This is what Mindy does when I tell her to pose. My dad should take lessons.
Can you just imagine him posing like this?
Here is Charles riding on the tube
And trying to do a flip
This is Mindy with her boyfriend Travis
Here are Mindy's dogs, Sid and Molly. So cute.
Charles worn out after his many crashes
So on the way home from Bear Lake I decided it was the perfect time to take a nap. So I fall asleep for about a hour and awake as we are coming to a stop. I thought for a minute we were close to home but Charles just said that he had taken an exit so we could fill up on gas. We had to borrow my dad's friends truck because my dad's truck was overheating before we were heading up the mountain. Anyways, we take the exit and Charles realizes that there is no gas station on this exit...we head back to the on ramp and then...we stop. And not because we wanted to. We ran out of gas!!! I thought we were doomed to spend hours waiting for my parents to bring us some gas. But...Luckily I was with my brother...aka...Macgiver
So what did he do to get us out of this mess...
What can you do with a hose...a water bottle...electrical tape...a five gallon bucket...and a trailer with three four-wheelers full of gas???
You guessed it!
Getting the gas out was the easy part. That only required the hose and a five gallon bucket. Charles then blew into the hose going into the gas tank and it built up enough pressure to force the gas out into the bucket. It was great!
The tough part was figuring out how to get it from the bucket to the truck
That is where the electrical tape and water bottle come into play
You guys are hilarious! That was some smart thinking, Charles.
