Christmas Day!!

Christmas finally arrived! It would have been nice to wake up to some snow but, no such luck.
After coming home from Phyllis' for Christmas Eve we all sat down for a Christmas movie. We have a quite a few to choose from and we all agreed on Christmas Vacation. We hadn't see in in quite a while. Such a great show!
After Charles and I went downstairs to get to bed so Santa could come we didn't exactly go right to sleep. I was online searching for the Christmas show I have been looking for for years! I finally found it!!!! It was on Hulu.com. The movie is called "It Nearly Wasn't Christmas". Its a little cheesy but I loved every minute of it and didn't get to sleep until 3 am! Charles is a little more anti-christmas movies/songs so he was watching Avatar until 2 am!

We finally went to sleep and woke up Christmas morning :)

I am usually the one to initiate all of the present giving. I am always so excited to see if people liked what I got them! I wasn't able to do as much as I would have liked this year but lucky for me, my family doesn't care about that kind of stuff.

The first to open a present was Lucky! He is like the little kid in our house. He opens his own presents and everything. Its really cute!

Even after he had the present out of the box he kept killing the box. Punishment for keeping his treats contained for so long.
Finally a treat! Yummy. If your a dog.

Then Lucky opened my big one for him! I usually get him the real bone that has all the gross stuff on the sides and it makes a big old mess. This year I tried something different.

Still a bone but not messy at all. And he just carried it around all day. Didn't even try to eat it yet. Silly puppy!
He also had to get a new "binkie" He loves that the most I think.
Charles got our Mom a chair for the office. She is using the one from the basement and this one is way better since it has a massager in it! She loved it!
Charles got his pool stick fixed. The rope at the end had come unraveled and now its all fixed!

I got a printer/scanner! I have so many pictures I have wanted to scan! Now I can!
I got Charles a cooker for his snowmobile. You throw it on the engine with some food in it and ride all day. Then at lunch you have a hot meal on a cold mountain. Genius!
Charles got me a portable toilet for camping! This will come in handy for sure!

He also got me "The Other Guys" Such a funny movie. He doesn't share my feelings on this but I think its great!
Zero was of course playing in the wrapping paper while all of this was going on.

Disney Sing It! Probably one of my favorite presents!!! We have already played it a few times. Charles will be sick of it LONG before I will be!
He was way more excited about his Rock Band 3

Messing with the animals. I am so glad they humor me. Like they have a choice.
Christmas morning was not so white but still beautiful.
After presents and breakfast we got ready and went to the movies. We saw Chronicles of Narnia. Really great show! Later that night Charles and I went to Kelsi and Craig's and we played his new PS3 and some other games. It was a really really great Christmas!
Merry Christmas!!!!!

Christmas Eve!

As we have for as long as I can remember, we have always gone toPhyllis' for Christmas Eve and this year was no exception. There have gotten to be more and more kids as the years have passed making Charles and I no longer one of the "kids". We are now officially one of the grown-ups, which I am totally ok with!
The evening started off with some dinner. Turkey, Ham, Rolls, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Sweet Potatoes... Yumm!
There were a lot of kids and noise going on and my Dad was hiding his feelings on that pretty well...

Next we played the "Left Right" game. My Mom is NOT a fan of the game and saw all of the gift bags sitting on a table. We got Phyllis to head upstairs for a bit and we all hid the bags. When she came down and saw them missing, she immediately blamed my Mom for hiding them! She was looking all over the place for them and couldn't find them. Shayden blew our cover and showed his "Gram" where they were.

After playing the "Left Right" game, it was time for everyone to sing Christmas carols so Santa would hear them and come visit. Not many of the kids were cooperating so my Dad helped them out and sang good and loud for Santa to hear. Apparently he was the only one excited for Santa to come!

Finally, Santa arrived! Each of the kids had the chance to sit on Santa's lap.
Shayden
Asia
Jackson
Jonathan
Winter
Richie was NOT a fan. Still, so cute!
Jesse
Rena
Blake
Lexi
Desi
Some of the kids (Dominik) were not too fond of sitting on Santa's lap. Trying to be "cool" I guess.

Phyllis showed that you are never too old to sit on Santa's lap!

Shayden received a toy in a box that required a knife to get into. My Dad said he would open it if he took all the boxes out to the garbage. He just sat there at first thinking he was joking but my Dad soon showed him he was not joking. He was very serious! So Shayden gave in and took all the boxes he could grab out to the trash!

Then they all started playing with their swords. Maybe I should have gotten Charles one for Christmas!

Thanks Phyllis and Rick for a nice Christmas Eve!

Christmas Lights!

I went with Craig and Kelsi and Brayden to see the lights. Actually the Capizzi family was going and I may have invited myself, but non the less, I was there for the fun!

We drove through The Night Before Christmas street. I havent been down there since I was little and Kelsi had never seen it. It was cute. I remember it being a lot cooler though.

Then we headed to Grand America to see some more.
They had gingerbread houses all over the place. They were really creative!
